Really warm, actually. Recently I moved into a studio at the Trestle Art Space on 18th St to begin a 6 month residency. It's a small space and quite full of fire at the moment. I've never seen so much heat in the paintings, and it was interesting to see this fire-at-night color also growing in many of the other studios I visited.
I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who was able to come by for the Open Studios last weekend. It means a lot that you took the time to come and visit. I'm also looking forward to getting to know the work from the other artists there. I'll share some snapshots later of some discoveries and "oh man, I wish I made that" moments.
Until then, thank you so much!
